Medical Mission Volunteer Opportunity

Have you ever wanted to serve on a medical mission?  Then here's a great opportunity for you! Hospital de la Familia Foundation, based in Berkeley, supports a hospital, medical clinic and various educational programs in rural northwestern Guatemala.  Each year the foundation coordinates and sends seven to nine U.S. medical teams to Nuevo Progreso, Guatemala, to provide surgery and specialty care, otherwise unavailable to the region.

One of these surgical teams is traveling April 1 - 10, 2022 and is in need of a perioperative nurse.  If you are interested, please contact Sue Barnes, RN at sueabarnes@gmail.com.

I've personally travelled to Guatemala with HDLFF on four medical missions, and serving as a volunteer has been such a wonderful and fulfilling experience!
