California Alliance for Perioperative Practice (CAPP) is a newly established state council recognized by AORN. CAPP was created to unite perioperative professionals throughout California to strengthen our collective voice and improve our practice environments, resources, education, and, ultimately, patient outcomes.
CAPP's mission is to advocate for excellence in perioperative practice and safety in healthcare policy by empowering professionals like you through collaboration and education. They aim to assist with legislative goals, implement regulations like California AB 1007, and support the growth and success of AORN chapters across the state.
The council's first statewide education event is the CAPP Virtual Smoke Safety Seminar on Saturday, January 25th, 8am to 11am (Pacific Standard Time), which will be conducted via Zoom.
