Updates for Monthly Touch Base and Education for AORN SFBA Chapter 0512

Dear AORN SFBA Chapter Members,

I hope you are doing well, as the holidays have arrived! Since we are launching a NEW Monthly Touch Base, here are updates reflecting our commitment to clear communication, timely education, and engaged participation. These meetings will remain flexible to your feedback and preferences.

Key updates:

• Education: Monthly Touch Base will include CEUs and will occur immediately before the standard monthly BOD meeting.
• Schedule: The first Monthly Touch Base & Education via Zoom will be a brief introduction on what to expect during these sessions. It will be on Thursday, December 17, 2025, 6:00–7:00 pm PST, in collaboration with Mölnlycke Health Care US, LLC—Topic: Skin Safety—Preventing Perioperative Pressure Injury.
• Board meetings: Members are welcome to attend the BOD meeting via Zoom, 7:00–8:00 pm PST. Note: These virtual events are back-to-back.

Upcoming education and Meet the Candidates Events:

• AORN Introduction to Perioperative Nursing — January 8, 2026, 6:00 pm PST, via Zoom, in collaboration with the Senior Director of Perioperative Education, AORN.
• Meet the Candidates — February 5, 2026, 6:00 pm PST, via Zoom; featuring 2026–2027 national candidates for the AORN Board of Directors and the Nominating Committee.
